Mehdi is investigating the role of tumor metabolism in immunotherapy response in solid tumors, with an emphasis on adoptive T cell therapies. He is also leveraging flow cytometry-based metabolic assays and CRISPR screens in vivo to identify targets that improve CAR T cell adaptation to hostile metabolic tumor microenvironments.
